ala gahtu

Taking inspiration from the Sami people of Finland I was able to develop designs that included wallpapers and furniture to be incorporated into the rooftop Ala Gahtu (meaning top of the roof in Sami). Together these designs created an environment that expressed truly vivid colors and nostalgic shapes of this beautiful Nordic culture.

The process of these designs started with a mood board that followed with color pallets and inspirational pictures. With inspiration taken from their wooden huts I was able to develop my patterns and furniture design.
